It was an absolutely ordinary day, one of many like it. I simply grabbed my ancient DSLR and went for a walk through a residential neighborhood of Odesa, expecting nothing in particular. I don’t remember that day very well anymore, but I do remember taking quite a lot of mediocre shots. I assumed this one would be the same.What caught my attention was the bright red color and the fact that the car looked quite old-school. For a moment I even hesitated whether it was worth approaching, since I had no special expectations, but I did anyway. I quickly took the shot and moved on, continuing to photograph without even noticing that there was a person inside the car. I realized it only later, when I decided to review the photos on the camera, and I was pleasantly surprised.“This is definitely the best shot of this walk,” I thought. But only later did I realize that it might actually be one of the best photographs I’ve ever taken — even to this day.
Coincidences aren’t accidental.

Це був абсолютно звичайний день, яких уже було багато. Я просто взяв свою допотопну дзеркалку й пішов гуляти спальним районом Одеси, ні на що не розраховуючи. Уже не дуже добре пам’ятаю той день, але точно пам’ятаю, що зробив досить багато посередніх кадрів. Гадав, так буде і з цим.Мою увагу привернув яскравий червоний колір і те, що авто виглядало досить олдскульно. На мить я навіть засумнівався, чи варто підходити, адже особливих очікувань не було, але все ж підійшов. Швидко зробив кадр і пішов далі знімати, навіть не звернувши уваги на те, що в салоні була людина. Зрозумів це лише тоді, коли вирішив подивитися фотографії на камері й був приємно вражений.«Абсолютно точно це найкращий кадр цієї прогулянки!» — подумав я. Але лише згодом зрозумів, що це взагалі чи не найкращий кадр, який я зняв за весь час і до сьогодні.
Випадковості не випадкові.
